The New York Fashion Film Festival seeks to investigate the evolving genre of fashion film and explore its influence and impact on the fashion industry. The NYFFF hosts an annual screening of selected fashion films to recognize outstanding creative work and encourage discourse on the nature of the genre, its growing relevance to the world of business and fashion as well as the potential for fashion film to be a platform for invention, creativity and cultural inquiry.

In support of the future of fashion photography, the visionary department store provides a partial scholarship to a deserving applicant, based on the promise of their work,  its imagination, and risk. Wenjun Liang of the class of 2016, represents the aspirations of the program with work that is experimental, elegant, and has great visual and conceptual clarity.

The MPS Graduate Fashion Photography department is an intensive one-year degree program offering practicing photographers the opportunity to advance their bodies of work under the guidance of photographers, editors, creative directors and digital retouchers working at the forefront of fashion today. Bridging the gap between “high” and “low” culture, commercial and fine art photography, still and moving images, the program is dedicated to exploiting the full potential of fashion photography as a platform for invention and creativity.
